My Hero. My son SSG Jack M Martin.

I just happened to stumble on this and I would like you to hear my story. My son SSG Jack M Martin III was killed in Jolo, Philippines on Sept 29, 2009 when the vehicle he was driving struck an IED I cannot describe how bad it feels about 7 months from it happening- I think it hurts just as bad because I think some of the shock has worn off and my heart still hurts! I think of Mother's Day about 3 years ago when he called me and said good bye to me over the phone (from WA state) I was visiting my mom in IA at the time-as he was leaving for IRAQ. I think I feared for him more when he was there. He came back in Feb last year and went to Jolo in July. and now he is gone. Cheryl
