Mojave War Memorial Torn Down by Vandals.

Weeks after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled to protect the Mojave Desert War Memorial, vandals, in the dark of night on Sunday, May 9, tore down the seven-foot-tall monument that stood bolted for more than 75-years atop Sunrise Rock honoring our nation's war dead.

You can help us re-install this precious memorial and bring these pathetic criminals to justice!

Liberty Institute, which represents longtime memorial caretakers Henry and Wanda Sandoz, the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States (VFW), The American Legion, Military Order of the Purple Heart, and the American Ex-Prisoners of War, is offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the removal of VFW property.

Second, you can make a tax-deductible donation to help re-install the memorial continue to fight the legal battle to save the Mojave Desert War Memorial.

While the memorial was temporarily saved by The Supreme Court's ruling April 28, the case isn't over yet. The Court's opinion says that the lower court erred in striking down a Congressional act that would transfer the land on which the memorial sits into VFW hands, and sends the case back to the lower court so they can correct their ruling.

Even though the cross has been torn down, the case will continue.
