Spc. David A. Holmes, 34, of Tennille, Georgia, died June 26, 2010, at Sayed Abad, Afghanistan, of wounds sustained when insurgents attacked his unit using an improvised explosive device. Spc. Holmes was assigned to the 810th Engineer Company, Swainsboro, Georgia.
