USS Cole Bombing ten years ago.

The USS Cole bombing was a suicide attack against the U.S. Navy destroyer USS Cole on October 12, 2000, ten years ago today, while it was harbored and refueling in the Yemeni port of Aden. 17 American sailors were killed, and 39 were injured. The terrorist organization al-Qaeda claimed responsibility for the attack. Many claim this was the prerequisite to the 9/11 attack.
